Steps.Church

Terms of service

Last updated 29 September 2026

These terms cover using Steps.Church, whether you are applying to serve at a church or running a church’s process. By using it you agree to them.

What Steps.Church is

Software a church uses to take applications to serve. Each church decides its own process, its own questions and its own decisions. Steps.Church does not decide who is accepted and is not a party to anything between you and a church.

Your account

Use your own name and an email address you control, and keep your sign-in to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account.

What you send

What you upload or write stays yours. You allow Steps.Church to store it and show it to the church you sent it to, which is all it is used for. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share, or anything unlawful.

Churches

A church administrator is responsible for the process they publish, the people they invite, and how their team treats what applicants send. A church may be turned off if it misuses the service.

The service

Steps.Church is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and your information safe, but cannot promise it will never be unavailable or never make a mistake, and are not liable for losses arising from using it, as far as the law allows.

Changes

These terms may be updated; the date above says when they last were. Continuing to use Steps.Church after a change means accepting it.
